The Abyss
The Abyss is one of the most mysterious areas in the Garten of Banban universe. The whole truth isn't known yet, but everything points to a hidden and extremely dangerous place. According to the available clues, the Abyss seems to house forgotten creatures, mutants and some of the most dangerous experiments ever created. Very little information about it exists, and very few seem to have come back. Much of what we know comes from documents, reports and small details scattered across the series. That's why some conclusions remain theories until the developers officially confirm them. On this page we always separate confirmed facts from theories, so you can follow the story of the Abyss without mistaking official information for community speculation.
The experiments: genome donors and the surgeon
The notes confirm that part of the staff conspired in secret. In the "Secret letter" and its second part, two workers gather the records of every child enrolled at the kindergarten and mark their preferred "genome donors" in order to pick a candidate. With the Lower Level Transport Team about to descend, they cut off communication and narrow the list down to three candidates. In the note "Everything is in place" they take the next step: they strike a deal with a surgeon to carry out certain procedures (the 4B Cases) and move all the equipment to "a place humans no longer visit" — the Abyss — willing even to go down armed in case something attacks them there.
The business: Uthman, givanium and Zolphius
To management, the creatures were products. In the reply to Uthman Adams, one of the owners, management refuses to expand the test cases: there aren't enough resources or "givanium" (a scarce material they get from "their friends down south"). Case 12, angry customers, lawsuits and even a "Bring a Friend Day" are mentioned. Another note reveals a secret kept in the basement: Zolphius, who only stays asleep as long as nobody goes looking. To keep him hidden, the staff decide which creations to discard — the spider, the frog and the snail — and offer to draw them on the walls "so they don't get forgotten".
The collapse
The staff notes describe how everything fell apart. One warns that the ball pit structure is about to collapse under the weight of too many children, with twice as many enrolled for the next day, and suggests fleeing before the catastrophe. Around those same dates, a giant bird escapes its enclosure ahead of time and people start disappearing without a trace.
The last survivors
When the creatures get out of control, the survivors are cornered in the main hallway, almost out of ammunition. "Everything we have done has finally caught up with us", one of them writes. They had been told that everything thrown into the Abyss dies, but they were lied to: the whispers from below grow louder and louder and, according to the notes, there are faces looking up from the darkness. The last message begs for all of this to be forgotten and erased from history.
The children and the jellyfish
Not everything is cold reports: several notes are written by the children themselves. Their drawings show themselves, Claire and Miss Mason (Weverly Mason). They tell of a good, very strong jellyfish that carried them all to a safe place and saved them from the "big bird" and the "evil red man", even though Miss Mason hated her. Another child writes, in hiding, that he must face a monster. They are the most innocent — and most unsettling — view of the tragedy.
What lurks at the bottom (theory)
The last letters hint at what waits in the Abyss. A worker, resigned to dying there, writes at peace after discovering the truth about "Gv" and about giant clay animals that devour those who go down. Another, abandoned by his colleagues, describes an enormous floating face and giggles that come closer and closer. Until the developers confirm it officially, all of this remains the most speculative piece of the Abyss' story.

Brushista
The game's main mascot and the only creature that seems to know the abyss' secrets. She guides the protagonist through the journey and will be a key piece in uncovering the truth hidden beneath Banban's Kindergarten. She is also an artist: several of the works and paintings scattered around the game are hers. Teaser Trailer 3 opens precisely with her looking sadly at the painting "Beneath the Surface" before walking away, and closes with her next to Sir Dadadoo, Mr. Kabob Man and Hellish Opila Bird. She also appears in Euphoric Brothers' official Halloween image: one of the pumpkins represents her.

Syringeon
Although he died in chapter 8 of the series, his presence keeps showing up in several recordings. The abyss seems to have kept something of him, leaving a question that still hasn't been answered.

Uthman Adams
One of the owners of Banban's Kindergarten. His name is tied to the experiments, the kindergarten tragedy and the origin of the creatures that inhabit the abyss.

???
An unknown figure remains hidden in the darkness of the abyss. Its identity is still a mystery, and everything suggests it will play an important role in what's coming.

Weverly Mason
One of the kindergarten's teachers. She stood out for being extremely strict with the children — a rigid personality her monstrous counterpart, Banbaleena, inherited in full.

Banbaleena
The monstrous version of Weverly Mason, from whom she fully inherited her rigid, authoritarian character. One of the most recognisable creatures in the kindergarten and a regular presence since the earliest entries in the series. With a white body and pointed ears, she is instantly recognisable by the pink bow on her head and the matching pink make-up around her eyes and mouth.

The Nanny
One of the most enigmatic figures in the kindergarten. After the events of Garten of Banban 1, she seems determined to stop the protagonist from finding his children, whatever the cost.

Captain Fiddles
One of the most important characters in the lore. Several clues point to him protecting the children away from the danger of the abyss, making him a possible hope for the protagonist.

Slow Seline
Her last appearance was in Garten of Banban 4. Since then she has been mentioned repeatedly as a key character whose true purpose still remains hidden.

Stinger Flynn
Though he usually acts hostile and unsettling, his words seem to hide a greater purpose. He may know the truth of the abyss better than any other creature.
Truffletoot
Registered as Case 43B, it was never an independent individual: it began as a simple sample taken from Case 43, whose mushroom shape and colour pattern it gradually inherited. Some samples have already started to glow faintly, and the scientists take it for granted that it will end up developing the same intense bioluminescence as its origin. Its growth is abnormally fast and shows no sign whatsoever of stopping; the reports openly fear it may end up surpassing the size of Case 43. Once mature it releases spores naturally, but unlike its predecessor it doesn't do so as a defence, but out of pure instinct: within a short time it makes any room it is kept in unbreathable, forcing the staff to work with filter masks and to lock both cases in enclosures kept as airtight as possible. And there is one thing worth not forgetting about Truffletoot: some organisms never stop growing.

Oony Balloony
A brand-new character, introduced in the secret room of Garten of Banban 8: Antidevil as a mural painted on the wall, along with a motto as innocent as it is unsettling: "The bigger my belly, the bigger my hugs!". In Last Ticket to the Abyss he returns in a very different way. In Teaser Trailer 3 he is seen turned into a painting on an easel, with the paint box still open underneath, as if someone had just portrayed him down there. Ghepo has listed him up to seventeen times, including a mention on X, and that insistence has convinced much of the community that his role in the abyss will be far bigger than that canvas suggests.

Citizen Mass
Not one creature, but many. Everything points to a group of citizens fused together: Syringeon's failed experiments, discarded and thrown into the abyss, where they have ended up becoming a single mass of living tissue covered in cavities. Its first image came with a phrase that takes on an unsettling meaning up close: "The Abyss cures the loneliness...". The abyss may truly cure loneliness, but not by ending it: by ending who you are.

Citizen
Its presence is confirmed: on October 15, 2026 Faris shared this image when announcing that Last Ticket to the Abyss will have a combat system. In it, a light-blue Citizen holds a weapon in front of a red corrugated metal wall. According to Faris, "in some sections you'll fight, you will die if you don't fight". Everything suggests Citizens will be part of those fights, although Faris himself warned that the combat will be very basic.

Flumban
Its origin lies in the ending of Garten of Banban VIII: Anti Devil. Banban, turned into Devil Banban and completely out of control, clashes with Flumbo in one of the most brutal battles in the series. Seeing that they are evenly matched and that there is no other way to stop the chaos, Flumbo decides to sacrifice himself: he grabs Devil Banban and throws himself with him into the huge container of liquid Givanium, the same pit Banbaleena fell into in earlier chapters. Neither of them ever came out separately. What emerges from the Givanium is a single creature, and the split is clear at a glance: the left half keeps Banban's red and the right half Flumbo's blue. The body is that of a beast that no longer belongs to either of them, with a huge toothed mouth open in the middle of its torso. And here's the interesting part, because nothing about its design is random: the fusion doesn't mix each one's parts, it adds them up. That's why it has four arms, four legs and four horns, two per head, since both Devil Banban and Hellish Flumbo had their own pair. The golden strip running down the middle isn't a seam either: it's Flumbo's beard and eyebrows, which were already yellow and ended up right on the line where both bodies join. The most revealing detail, though, is the eye count, because that's where the sum breaks: it has three, not four. Banban contributed only one, as he reached the fusion wounded after his fight with the Naughtified Army, while Flumbo kept both of his. That's why, despite being called Flumban, some consider it more Flumbo than Banban.

Hellish Banbaleena
The hellish version of Banbaleena, born from her fall into the Givanium pit. Almost nothing recognisable remains of the original character: a muscular, pale body, topped by a horned head, glowing pink eyes and an oversized mouth full of sharp teeth. One thing should be made clear: the image accompanying this entry is a community creation, not official Euphoric Brothers material. It serves as a visual reference until the studio releases its own version of the character.

Varzah
His return is one of the few practically announced by the character himself. In Garten of Banban VIII: Anti Devil he left a farewell that sounded more like a warning than an ending: "I'll be back. You can be sure of that".

Mr. Kabob Man
A metal mannequin with wheels for legs, bars for arms and a pair of party hats on top of its head. It first appeared in Garten of Banban III, in its own room. Its presence in this entry is confirmed: it appears in Teaser Trailer 3, inside the robotic armour, alongside Brushista and Sir Dadadoo in the final scene. It also appears in Euphoric Brothers' official Halloween image: one of the pumpkins represents it inside the robot.
Sixth member
The remaining member of the New Reclamation Team, whose identity is still unknown. After Clawrenzo's fall, it is one of the most discussed unknowns in the community. All that exists of it is the icon that appears in Garten of Banban VIII: Anti Devil, the one accompanying this entry: an intense lime-green silhouette with a narrow head and two large, pointed ears. That shape has led much of the community to assume it will be a bat, although some point to a horse because of the head's profile. Until the studio reveals it, it remains a silhouette and a theory.

Hellish Opila Bird
It's the huge long-necked creature that closes Teaser Trailer 3, rising above Brushista, Sir Dadadoo and Mr. Kabob Man. Until now it had no name, but Euphoric Brothers' official Halloween image has settled it: it's Hellish Opila Bird, not Little Beak. The proof is in the crop of that image accompanying this entry. Its wings and beak are covered in handprints, just like the ones Opila Bird has on her body. It's the same bird from the teaser, now with its identity officially confirmed.

Unknown cat character
A brand-new character that appears in Euphoric Brothers' official Halloween image, carved into the pumpkin on the left: it's the crop accompanying this entry. It has a long tail, claws, ears and whiskers, so it's a cat. It isn't Kittysaurus, because its body is different. Characters from Garten of Banban 9 appear in that same image, so everything suggests it will show up in the new chapter. For now nobody knows who it is, and the shape of its head rules out it being the sixth member of the New Reclamation Team.

Juvenile lobsters
They don't appear one by one, but in a group: half a dozen pinkish creatures with big claws, bulging eyes and jointed legs. Their presence is confirmed, as they can be seen in one of the images published on Steam.

Nabnab (Hellish)
His hellish variant: a dark blue body with elongated limbs, three black eyes and a huge row of teeth running down his whole front. He appears in Teaser Trailer 3, although he can't actually be seen: the fog hides him completely and you can only sense he's there. With no clear in-game image, his presence remains probable, not confirmed.

Jumbo Josh
His last appearance left him unconscious next to Sir Dadadoo, in the prison's secret hideout. It remains to be seen what became of him after that.
