$ cat affiliation.txt
Disclaimer of Affiliation
Luxine News is an independent website created solely and exclusively by and for fans of the mascot horror genre. We are not affiliated with, associated with, authorised by, endorsed by or connected in any official way to:
- Mob Entertainment (developers of Poppy Playtime, Project: Playtime, Escape from Playtime, etc.) or any of its subsidiaries.
- Euphoric Brothers (developers of Garten of Banban, Last Ticket to the Abyss, etc.) or any of its subsidiaries.
- Silvercity Sharks (developers of Pepper the Giant Purple Dog, etc.) or any of its subsidiaries.
- Any other studio, publisher, platform or creator whose games or content are mentioned on the site.
Nothing published here should be read as an official statement, a confirmation or a position of those studios.

$ cat trademarks.txt
Trademarks and Rights
All names, characters, logos, sounds and concept art related to these games are registered trademarks and intellectual property of their respective developers and rights holders. This website does not seek to infringe those rights; its purpose is purely fan journalism, documentation and recreation.
The use of those names and trademarks is purely referential: it serves to identify what we are talking about, not to suggest sponsorship, endorsement or any link with their owners.
Luxine's original text, design and code are, however, the work of the site's team.

$ cat fair-use.txt
Purpose and Fair Use
Luxine covers these games for informational, critical, analytical and archival purposes, always accompanying third-party material with our own commentary and context. That is the basis on which we understand its use as quotation and illustration of the news to be covered.
We do not distribute copies of the games, executable files, extracted material that would let anyone play them without buying them, or anything that substitutes for acquiring the original product. We encourage playing the titles through official channels.

$ cat accuracy.txt
Accuracy of Information
The information provided on this site (including news, analysis and theories) comes from publicly accessible or community sources. Although we strive to keep information up to date, Luxine is not responsible for inconsistencies or changes introduced by the games' official developers.
Content is offered with no guarantee of accuracy and for information only: it should not be used as a basis for purchasing, investment or any other kind of decision. We correct mistakes as soon as we spot them or they are pointed out to us.

$ cat leaks.txt
Leaks, Theories and Rumours
Part of our coverage gathers leaks, community-shared images and fan theories. Such material is identified as such and does not constitute official or confirmed information from any studio: it may be incomplete, misinterpreted or debunked later. When content comes from a leak we say so explicitly, and we take it down if its rightful owner asks us to.
Luxine does not obtain or commission leaks: we only report on material already circulating publicly. Fan theories are speculation and are published as such, never as fact.

$ cat images.txt
Third-Party Material and Images
The screenshots, artwork and in-game notes that appear on the site — including those offered bundled for download — come from public sources and community-maintained archives such as wikis and forums. They are reproduced for informational and archival purposes, and the rights remain with their original authors. YouTube videos and Steam widgets are displayed embedded from their original platforms.
If you are the author of an image or an excerpt that appears here and would like to be credited differently, or have it removed, tell us and we will sort it out.

$ cat links.txt
Links and External Content
The site links to and embeds content from external services (YouTube, Steam, Reddit, community wikis and social networks). That content is the responsibility of whoever publishes it and is governed by each platform's terms.
Luxine neither controls nor reviews what happens on those sites and is not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy practices. A link does not imply that we endorse the site linked to.

$ cat fiction.txt
The Site's Fictional Elements
Luxine deliberately uses an immersive setting: dossiers, classified files, security warnings and an "investigation" tone that is part of the site's experience.
None of those references describe real events, real organisations or genuine documents. All lore and mystery on Luxine is immersive and purely fictional, and must not be taken as truthful information about any real company or person.

$ cat translations.txt
Translations
Luxine is published in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian, with Spanish as the original version.
Blog articles are machine-translated (Google Translate). They are there to bring the content to more readers, but they may contain odd phrasing, poorly chosen terms or errors of meaning, and they are not reviewed one by one. Nor does all content exist in all four languages: in some cases it is available in only some of them.
In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails, and it is the reference version for these legal texts too. If a machine translation leads you to understand something different from what the original says, the original is what counts.

$ cat community.txt
Community and Accounts
Opinions posted by users belong to their authors and are shown under their @username. They do not represent Luxine's position, and Luxine is not responsible for their content beyond its moderation work.
Registration does not ask for an email address; adding a recovery email is optional and is never shown in public areas. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

$ cat non-profit.txt
Non-Profit
Luxine has no advertising, charges no subscriptions and sells nothing. It also uses no affiliate links or sponsorships: when we link to a store it is so you can look the game up, with nothing coming back to us.
Hosting costs are borne by the team. This matters here because the absence of commercial exploitation is part of what supports the informational use of third-party material described above.

$ cat takedown.txt
Content Takedown
If you represent one of the studios mentioned, or hold rights over material published here and believe it should not appear, we can take it down. Write to contactoluxine@gmail.com or through the channels linked in the footer, stating:
- The exact link to the page where the content appears.
- What the specific material is and in what capacity you are claiming it.
- A way to contact you with our reply.
We handle these requests as quickly as possible and without demanding formal procedures: we are a fan project and we do not want to publish anything its owner does not want to see here. If we take something down, we do it without arguing the merits.
