Mob Entertainment's Halloween image hides Experiment 1005 and a coded message

Mob Entertainment has released its Halloween image with the Poppy Playtime toys trick-or-treating. On the balcony there's a patched-up fox with an eye patch that would be Experiment 1005, and around the door there's a pigpen-cipher message: “Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving”.

For Halloween, Mob Entertainment has released a new illustration: the Poppy Playtime toys trick-or-treating in an autumn town. Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, CatNap, DogDay and many more are there. But several details aren’t there by chance.

Experiment 1005, on the balcony

Top left, on the balcony, there’s a patched-up fox with an eye patch, a mouth full of teeth and some kind of grabber gun in its hand. It would be Experiment 1005.

The number fits: the Prototype is Experiment 1006, so 1005 would be the experiment right before it.

A character hiding behind the tree

And there’s another detail that’s easy to miss: behind the tree, next to Huggy Wuggy, a small character with a hat with a red flower is peeking out. You can only see half of its face, as if it didn’t want to be seen.

A coded message around the door

Around the door arch of the house there’s a sentence written in symbols. It isn’t decoration: it’s a cipher alphabet, the pigpen cipher (or “Masonic cipher”), and it has already been decoded. It says:

Note: Mob Entertainment hasn't said who the fox on the balcony is or what the message on the door means.
